Synopsis
Durante las vacaciones de verano de su primer año como alumno de bachillerato, Hodaka abandona la pequeña isla en la que ha crecido y huye a Tokio en busca de una nueva vida. Sin nadie a quien recurrir y consumido por la hostilidad del entorno, se sienta a descansar en un restaurante de comida rápida.
